    Default Chicken Tikka Achari

    Chicken Tikka Achari

    Oil
    350 ml base gravy
    Tikka Pieces
    1 tsp garlic paste
    1 tbsn Tomato paste
    1 tsp Methi
    1 tbsn Mixed powder
    1 tsp Coriander powder
    to 1 tsp Chilli powder
    1 tbsn Mango Chutney
    1 heaped tbsn Mixed Pickle
    Coriander to garnish

    Method

    Oil in the pan
    Garlic in and tomato paste stir about
    Methi, mixed powder, corinader powder, chilli powder stir around for a few seconds
    I/2 base in stir about
    Tikka in cook for a couple of mins
    Add mango and stir
    Add mixed pickle stir
    Add remainder base and cook to how you like it
    Add corinader done!
    Serve with rice naan chapati whater you like.
    A superb slightly salty sour sweet medium hot curry.

    Fred and the pickle is Mothers mixed pickle that is all we have here - delicious!

    Your recipe looks very similar to the one in CBM's 2nd volume.

    Where does your recipe come from?

    I'll probably use Pataks mixed pickle ,we use it for our balti dish...should have results up by the end of next week..thanks bud..fred

    You are one hundred percent correct very similar indeed - because its the right way to make it

    Its my recipe and has been for about 9 years - tweaked from Uncle John (he's Indian) from a slightly more traditional way - but NOT tweaked that much to be honest.
