Default How to make soured milk for Lamb Karahi

    Hi all,

Does anybody know how to make the soured milk in Julian from curry to go's lamb Karahi recipe, I know it says 2 parts milk to 1 part yogurt but do you add vinegar or lemon to sour the milk first?

    Cheers Farang

Hi Farang. I'm no expert but does not the yogurt turn the milk? Just a thought, but if I'm wrong I'm sure someone will post and let us know. I know when I had a go at making Panner I used lemon juice witch Turned the milk. Not that it did much good though as it was more like cottage cheese and did not set into a block that you could cut with a knife? Anyway good luck.

Thanks for the reply Snowtop, I was thinking the same thing myself regarding the yogurt turning the milk, I will just have to go for it & see. The Panner sounds interesting that is definitely on my curry list so if you find a good working recipe please let me know?

    Cheers Farang
