Hi Beckumblue. Whilst it would be an interesting experience, we can't make a base sauce out of "Oor Anne"
Regards the amounts, there's a few variations on base sauces and I'm sure there's one that doesn't require a new chest freezer to accomodate it. Get yourself up to 10 posts or whatever it takes and then you will have access to most of the stuff on here.
Alternatively contact CBM, aka Curry Barking Mad, aka Mick and I'm sure he'll give you the information you need mate.
GL and just wait till you've got the hang of the site, you'll love it.

Hi Beckumblue, i dont think you will get the same results reducing the quantity, why not make the full amount, and get a friend interested in the cooking then you will not have to worry or better still make up a full batch, you will soon be addicted and eating about 3 or four a week that will only take two weeks to exhaust your supply, BTW it freezes really well for up to 3 months.

Well it seems like this is a good time to find out who 'wears the trousers' in your house

Heheheheh.......The things we do for a curry, eh?

Hi Peter, welcome to RCR. Let the wife no who the boss. Then when your sure she knows that she is, tell her you will be very careful and clean any mess up. Seems to work for me . My wife says I can be the boss of the house if there's only me in it. Happy cooking.

Hi Peter, my advise would be to make a sauce with whatever you have... and what ever quantity u like, that way you will learn what differences each ingredient makes... I'm the boss of my house... and I have my wifes permission to say so... ... make her some nice curries and Im sure she will not complain... rgds, Ger

Hi frolic, as I mentioned on your other post, navigating the site can be a bit tricky and Admin are looking for feedback from members on how it can be improved. If you click on he "Home" tab on this page, that'll take you to the "sections" part of the site. Just take it from there. This link shows you how to make the melting base 3 gravy which is very popular. http://www.indian-recipe.org/curryfo...ead.php?t=4329
