How many of you out there drink Stella Artois?

I started years ago when it was 5.2% Alc and it was a premium beer.

A couple of years ago it dropped to 5.0% Alc.

Now it is 4.8% Alc.

The price has not dropped but the beer is now much weaker and just not the same bite it had before.

Apart from Grolsch, what other good beers are out there? What do you guys and gals like with your curry?

KP(v)

PS Luckily my local store gets imported Stella which is still 5.0%, but it's not cheap.

Hi All,

I am just wondering - why use something like Rajah curry powder when making your own mix powder? I mean why not make your own curry powder to go in the mix powder? I am just curious as I really enjoy making things from scratch but feel that even using a shop bought curry powder (albeit a good one) is kind of cheating :) . Also I have also seen the commercial (Patak) pastes used in recipes along side whole and ground spices, again - why resort to buying anything ready made if you have all the individual spices available? I mean if am willing to go the extra mile to make the mix powder then why not make the curry powder that goes into it, and the pastes as well? Or is it that no-one is able to replicate Rajah curry powder or patak tikka pastes (or maybe they have so many varied ingredients that its not worth making your own?)

Anyway, I am addicted to this forum. So many recipes and choice - fantastic :)

Cheers

Rod

I thought I would let you guys know that 2 weeks ago I jacked in my job left the UK and headed to India (again). I am in McLeod Ganj, Dharamsala volunteering with the Tibetan Refugees. I am teaching basic computer skills, word, internet, email and of course Facebook!!

The food in the town is very varied, everything from Indian to Italian (great pizza here) and of course Tibetan food which in my and most opinions is pretty bland and boring.

I am going to be in town till October so might see if I can get on one of the cooking classes at some point to see how they do it. I got to say the recipes on this forum beat the Indian food here hands down so good work guys.
